The same question, two months later

Work goes on in the same case, with nothing uploaded again for each question. New material is added, and the next answers draw on it too. Every member of the firm can work on the same case. The answer comes only from what the case holds at the time of the question. When the material holds no answer, it says so in plain terms.

How an answer is built

One question about the case, from the moment it is asked to the moment the source opens at the page, with a source for every claim.

Ask in your own words

A question about the case, in plain English, the way you would put it to a colleague.

The passages are found

The search runs over the case material alone. Beside every passage it finds, it shows the exact place in the source.

The answer is written, with a source on every claim

The answer is composed one sentence at a time. Before a sentence is shown, its citations are checked against the sources and its numbers against the cited passages. A citation that could not be verified gets the label “Reference not verified”. It is never hidden or removed.

The citation opens the source

Click a citation and the original file opens beside the answer, at the page or the second it was taken from.

Photographs and diagrams inside the documents get an automatic description, which is searched like any other passage of the case material. A citation that rests on one opens the page with the picture marked.

What does the photograph attached to the complaint show?

According to the automatic description of the photograph on page 9 of the complaint, two cars are in contact at an angle at an intersection on a residential street. The rear door and side panel of the dark car are dented and creased. Two long dark tire marks run along the road up to the rear wheels of the silver SUV.1
